I'm trying to recall if sulfuric acid is the same as battery acid. I bought some battery acid once with intentions to use it in my pickle solutions. Some old tanning books were telling me it was great stuff. I discontinued using it though when I was told it's very hard to neutralize correctly. I even had one beaver start falling apart months after it was tanned. I must not have neutralized it properly. So, If this is the same stuff I'd use something else that is easier to work with. I'm sure there are others on here who can tell you more about this. I'm not an expert on the subject..Steve
