Rienhart tanning cream

Anyone ever use cream to tan a bear hide. If yes I would guess salt pickle degrease tan yes. Or am I better off sending it in to the tanner. thanks for any info on this

I would send it out to a tannery. As far as I'm concerned with all the trouble that is required to tan a bear. I'd let a good tannery do the job for you.

You might want to get in touch with George Roof in here, our resident expert on Rinehart tan. He uses it and loves it, to the extent that he believes its the best out there. I think he could offer you the positive opinion you might be looking for. I agree with coyote, as I prefer bears to be commercially tanned. Thats just an opinion, and nothing against that product though. Grab George, and good luck to you.

I use JRTS and I like it, but not for bears or the premium big game animals of North America. Bears can be tricky so I leave it to the professionals along with all those "expensive" guys.
