Two days ago I obtained a buffalo hide (cow). I have salted the crap out of it. It has significantly reduced in moisture to the point where a couple spots are hardening. What now? Can I roll it up flesh side in and wait until I can thin it and throw it in the tanning solution (I worry about hair slippedge)? Do I salt until it's hard then rehydrate and thin......?
