defleshing aggravation!

i keep getting rabbits and every time i deflesh them they tear! i deflesh from head to tail like i was told by someone from another message i posted but it still tears! what do i do? is there a chemical to make it come off easier that i could use?

from head to tail? Are you sure you read the post right? I alway's go from tail to head. Maybe you are trying to take more off then needed. After you tumble them in grit, you should be able to GENTLY pull any extra off.

What are you scraping with? I use a straight blade that has a distinct edge but not a sharp one!I scrape tail to head they are thin hides don't use alot of presure. and what kind of rabbits are you getting?. if there wild rabbits, thats a real pain I tack them to a board and let them dry, then peel off what i can, sand them a little then brain them.
