I own both sizes,& would not do taxidermy work without them. The hide or cape must be free of large hunks of fat & meat, split the lips nose & eyes just as you would to salt. Add your tan, water & oil, to the tank pressurise with air. After 3 hours of tumbling remove the hide, drain ( save the tanning solution)flesh it down, return it to the tanner with the saved solution for an hour or so & your ready to dry & mount.

Befor you buy one, you have to ask yourself if it is worth the time and effort. How long to flesh, pickel, shave, tan? All this is being done when you could be mounting animals. You don't make any money until it goes out the door. People will say you have to wait to long for the hides to get back from the Tannery, but, i can assure you that you will get the best tan from a Tannery. I own H&H Fur Dressing Inc. and we also are Taxidermist over the years (befoe I bought H&H) I have tryed many ways to get a fast tan and always came back to H&H.If you would like to give us a try, I will tan a cape for you at no charge. You won't know until you at least try it. Give me a call at (231) 972-7102
