I am tanning a coyote cape for a shoulder mount using McKenzie tan. When and how do i degrease it; during or after the pickle bath. thanks, mark

After pickling, shaving,neutralizing,and applying McKenzie Tan, let set for at least 4 hours ,then wash with Dawn several times, rinse and mount. If there was any grease there, it's gone after all that!
I've mounted lots of them that way and never had a problem.
