Dry and cracking furs

Submitted by Tammy on 04/06/2004 at 15:31. ( cooptd@jea.com )

I have several small furs that I purchased. They are getting very dry and pieces are starting to crack off. These furs are handeled by many children a day. What can I do to make them pliable again?

Same thing you do for your hands

Put hand lotion on them. Turn them over and cover the back sides with a cheap, lanolin based, skin lotion. Apply several coats and allow to dry. This is simply a temporary fix, however, and now that the damage has been done, don't expect any "healing" to take place.

Throw em out

If they are old you ought to throw then away and buy new ones. If they are new take them back. It is a real horrible tanning job.
