krowtann slippage

had some slippage on a deer cape on back - cant believe it - did everything right - will i stop using it - NO WAY!

Did you make sure you had it COMPLETELY submerged? Due to the high salt content the capes will float to the top. Maybe a little bit was able to poke through. If the cape was spoiled I would think it would slip behind the ears and maybe the armpits first. This has just been my experience. I am really doubting it was the tan.

I usually use saftee acid and liqua tan but i bought some krowtann and tried it. i mixed a batch for 3 deer capes, they were not spoiled. two turned out good with good stretch but one floated to the top and where it floated up and was exposed to air, all the hair slipped! Be careful and weight them down if you use it.
