As We Shoot, Snare Animals What Is The Best Way To Preserve There Hides, While We Are Still In The Swamp? I usaully Us [a supply company]'s "Dry Tan" Preservative, But I Do Not Want To Take It Unless I Have To. And Also What Is The Best Way To Stretch The Hide Without Taking A Board With Us? Any Imput Appreciated. Thanks.

I would skin them and salt them well. You would not want to keep them in a cooler due to the wetness. Salt is the way I would go. What are you planning on doing with them? If you are going to mount them then you do not need a board for strtching.

Todd,
I am tanning them just to keep them I have an fairly large collection of animal pelts, that I keep For whatever reason I need them for. And The reason I need to know how to lay them without a board, is because i flat dry them.
