Approx. 18 rpm should work fine. A strong gear reduction motor is what you want.

motor with a speed reducer that drops it to 82 rpm. Then the double belt sheave further reduces to 18 rpm which is perfect like Jim said.

The proper tumbler speed is ( 30 ) RPM same as a dryer,same as a fur dressing plant.
