I'm just getting started with tanning. What's the best way to tan smaller animals? Such as muskrat, mink, beaver, and raccoons? Do the home tanning kits work well? I'v got about 25 hides I want to do. It sounds like brain tanning is not what I want to do?
Thanks,Greg

I use krowtann 2000 for everything. With those particular animals, be sure to degrease them.

I've used it on bobcats, deer, coons, coyotes, and fox so far. No problems and easy, just follow the instructions. BP
If it were me I would go with Rittels EZ 100 kit to start with. Are you going to mount these or flat tan them? EZ tan is a non leaching syn tan that will not leach in water and it is very affordable.
you can't go wrong with bruces products. plus he answers questions when they arn't to dumb!

In my opinion EZ 100 is about the best there is on the market. I have had better results with it than others I've tried in the past.
Just my opinion.
