Thanks for the procedure how to ship pickled capes given to me below, I have a couple of follow up questions. How long will it keep dried like this, if I ship it with the rest of the things it might take up to two months before I can retrieve it. And also will it be ok to instead of the soapy water washing to dump it back in a pickling solution and then shave.

"just be sure to dry,if your going to process it when you get their,put them,dry,not dried outand hard in a plactic bag and go.
when you get their re-hydrate in worm water and soap laudry detergent 85 degree,temp that you would wash your hands,for an hour or even a little more. "

If your going to wait a couple of mounths do not let it get moldy ,and yes put right back in the pickeling.
