Yes - I prefer to salt and dry my skins HARD! That way I am able to keep them until I accumulate enough to run a load. Salting pulls out the unwanted liquids and promotes rapid drying! By drying the skins your chances of successfully tanning them goes up to 99%! Drying tightens the hair or fur roots! Simply salting may pull out the liquids - but it wont tighten up the roots of the fur or hair!
