Could you name any chemical that's NOT?

Most household chemicals are hazardous to the environment as well. We routinely fertilize our lawns, apply weed killer, apply insect and nematode sprays on the grass and it all runs downhill. Chromium is a tough one to acquire without OSHA and EPA permits and the last time I bought formaldehyde from my local drug store, I had to sign for it. Formaldehyde, however, is used in many household products like carpet and paneling.

Mercury

Mercury seems to be the one we all have to worry about and I'm sure toxicoligy is aware of the amounts he/she contributes to the atmosphere each year.Just curious tox, what was the point of posing the question where your knowlege is so limited (very little use of formaldehyde here anymore) and chromium compared to mercury in sheer amount contributed alone (even contributed by you) is benign.Oh and by the way, where have you been dumping all your spent electronics all your life?
