May not get a good reading

You may not actually get a good reading on the tanning solution. The salinometer is used primarily for pickle. The salinometer actually measures the density of the water. So if the Lutan uses substantially less salt than the pickle you won't get a reading. I do know that for a pickle solution it should be more than 43%. If you are getting at least 43% reading it should be just fine. I know someone out there is going to have a problem with what I just told you but I really don't give a crap. This works for me. I use Rittel's EZ tan now and it uses very little salt so I can't get a reading at all.

Improper spelling

At lower Salt usage - do not use the Salinometer to get an accurate reading. It's meant for pickling and for salt usage less than 12 ozs. per gallon the readings become inaccurate.
