Has anyone ever constructed their own fleshing machine? And if so, does anyone have dimensions and plans for it? If not, could any of you tell me if the blade has a sort of rounded edge on it, or a sort of cup? or, if you have a half horse-power motor on your machine, if there is a change in size of pulleys from the top to the bottom, and if so what size of pulleys are used?If i could some of this information i would be much abliged, Thanks, Paul

I have built 2 of my own, i bought a blade and a set of guards from Van Dykes and then made the rest. I have an 11 1/2" blade and a 3/4 horse sealed motor running at 1740 RPM. i'm not sure but i think i have a small pulley on the motor probably about 2:1 ratio from blade to motor. It works very well and has fleshed a couple hundred hides.
