Had someone inquire about getting a cowhide tanned. I've not dealt with this scenerio yet so figured I'd see what you guys are charging. I can get it tanned for $6.70 a square foot but what kind of mark up on top of that is normal? Any thoughts appreciated. Jeff F.

Bovine are the hardest hides to flesh, just scraping is going to be hard work.
You need a large salting table and it must have a slant so fluids drain off the hide.
You can figure on 150 lbs of salt.
