what would be the best way to tan a whole deer, fur on without sending it to a tannery...i have some Van Dykes one hour mammal tan but would that be sufficient for a whole deer pelt?

Throw that crap away and buy Rittels ez 100 kit. It will produce a much higher quality hide and is cheap.
