I've had a wt deer in a safty acid pickle since last Sunday (10/17). I'm going out of town tonight and won't return until Sunday. Will the hide be safe in the pickle for about a day and a half without being stirred? The Ph had risen very gradually from about 1.0 when I started to 2 last night, and I added a touch more acid. When checked the morning it was 1.5. It has been in this range since starting. Thanks in advance for any input. Warren

I've kept skin samples in a Saftee Acid pickle for months safely. Of course I check the PH for a 1.5 or less and stir them about twice a week but I've never had a problem. Just keep them out of the cold - otherwise the salt will begin to fall out of the solution.
