Im a 14 year old thats really good at squirrel hunting and i want to start salting the hides so i can hang them on the wall or even make things out of them(just small things like knife sheeths). I was just wondering if anyone could tell me how i should do it. I know the proccess but i need to know how long to do each step. Alex,I personally just wash my squirrel hides real good and then apply a thin coat of liqua-tan-you'll want to make sure you wash the blood and dirt out first,if you don't the liqua-tan will make the blood bleed through the skin.
