I got a mountian lion that was already tanned i made the costomer no promised. It had been in the freezer. I unthawed it and put some relaxer on it so i could get measurements for a form. The tan hide started falling apart. Did the Relax R from Knoblochs do this did it have a acid swell? I don't know what kind of tan it was.

You should have just wet it with water as you didn't know the tan that was used. I did a bear rug that had been tanned for about 5 years and froze. I just wet the head and stretched it very little and measured for the shell it came out great. Just my two cents Jack F
it was never neautralized back to normal - i had a customer bring me a mt lion that fell apart when it was just handled gently - it was tannned by Jonas so some get by even the best of 'em
