ph and auto tanner

I have mixed up my tanning crystals (Van Dykes) and the ph is to high 4.5 to 5.0 i added all the formic acid that I had and brought it doown to 3.0 can anyone tell me how to get it down with something I can get localy and how important is that in an auto tanner. I also put in a dash of bascyl and tannit vgs it it make any differance

I think the ingredients have settled, try mixing the dry goods before you take out what you need.

I have been using an auto tanner now for over a year and have yet to ever check PH. Maybe your using another method then the one I use. I use the crystals that I get from Steve R. I thaught they were the same ones in Van Dykes but I could be wrong. Just curious is that what the instructions said to do is check the PH and add acid to lower if to high? Are the crystals cheaper from Van Dykes then from Steve? Just wondering Jack F
