I am consindering learning taxidermy. Know exactly nothing about it now. Can someone please explain to me (Please, without sarcasm) what exactly is a wet tan, and what is a dry tan... From a commercial tanneries point of view is fine.
Thank you so much!

A wet tan and dry tan are exactly the same wiht the exception the dry tan has been dried and tumbled and can be stored for an indefinate amount of time. It will need to be rehydrated to mount. A wet tan has not and thus should be frozen or mounted when you receive it.

Click the "Beginners" category and scroll down to the very bottom. Then click on September 2001. Scroll down to Wet Tan, Dry Tan, Dry Preservative dated 9/6/01. It explains it all.
Thank you so much. Any and all help is so appreciated.
