Has anyone used Wolf River Tannery in Wisconsin. I already tried the orange button. Any comments, good or bad would be appreciated. I would mostly be tanning deer and bear. Please don't suggest other tanneries, I am only interested in info on the Wolf River Tannery. Thanks in advance

I have used Wolf River. The tan was very good. They do not do a very good job of thinning the nose and lip areas. Sent some elk capes that were prepared by outfitters in Canada, Just had the nose and lips splitand salt dried. Returned hides were not thinned on the nose pad at all. About 4 hours with a skif knife and all was well.
Hi Cory, I know you were interested in just hearing about Wolf River,(forgive me) but Trophy Game Tanning is nearby (Sheboygan Falls)and do an excellant job. It's been awhile since I have used Wolf River so I really can't comment on them.
