I would like to learn the simplest(?) way to tan small furs like rabbit. I know very little about this stuff. The kids and I would like to try and make a pair of mittens or a hat with rabbit fur. Plus it gives me more reason to go hunting. Can any one point me in the right direction?

Matt, I have tanned rabbit skins before, they are paper thin & rip when fleshing by hand with a tanning knife. I have found that the old male rabbits are the easiest to flesh as they are tough. Try one of Rittels small mammal tanning kits. Good luck.
