Bobcat hide

I recently shot a bobcat that I want to tan. I have some experience with bird taxidermy but none with tanning. Can someone please give me the rundown on an effective way to tan a bobcat and what chemicals/materials I should use. Also from reading the forum its not clear to me whether hides need to be fleshed or do the chemicals and salting do all the work? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

There are lots of opinions on the best tan to use. Try using the orange search button on the left of your screen.

Here is what I would do.

Since you are no master at tanning you say. I would get some Krowtan and just follow the directions. It is very simple and gets great results.

fleshing machine question

I have a wire wheel fleshing machine that i use for ducks...will that work on a bobcat skin?
