what is this buffing and staking . i am sure i know what staking is but i am not 100% sure so if your could please tell me about both or give some place to go and read about it i would be greatful. thanks in advance

Actually Buffing the skins flesh side is simply another name for sanding it usually using a Drum Sander. The sanding is intended to remove any shaving lines and slightly suede the flesh side of the skin. There are 2 types - an Overshot and an Undershot. Both usually use Drums that the sandpaper is mounted on and depending on the location of the Drum, it is either called an Overshot or Undershot. We sell both.
