Re-Tan them!

Simply rehydrate them and re-pickle them. After 3 days - remove and thoroughly flesh them clean. Then neutralize and retan and oil. No need to re-salt again.

To rehydrate them - mix 4 ozs. of salt to every 1 gallon of water - soak them for 30 minutes - place them in a garbage bag and refrigerate them overnight. The next day they should be relaxed for pickling.
