Use Krow-Tann 2000 if it were mine and I was Planning on Mounting it but if I were you and I wasn't sure what to use I would use the orange button type in "Tanning Bobcat" and search the archives.
There you can read questions, answers and opinions based on others experience and make a good decision on what method would be best for you.

I don't think it was a good idea to freeze that salted skin. Salt will hinder the freezing salt melts ice theory.

Salt doesn't freeze, thats why highway dept's use it in the northern states to keep ice at bay on the roads.

Take the hide out of the freezer ASAP and resalt let it drain and air dry until you decide on your pickling and tanning method. Then rehydrate in a brine solution and start your pickling etc. The idea is for the salt to remove all the moisture from the hide so that the hair will be locked in and bacteria growth will be kept in check.

You can freeze green before fleshing, spliting and turning or you can do it after the hide is tanned.
