What's the skinny on these AUTO TANNERS, are they all they're cracked up to be or just the latest fad. Do you still need to pickle and then tan? What is this machine really saving you in effort?

I've been tanning my own hides since day one. Always been a 1 man shop. I considered auto tanners a fad myself until I learned more about them. You end up saving in both time and effort. Do you like hand stirring the pickle vat everyday? I like the fact that I can have hides in the machine, and be doing other things at the same time. It's almost like having an employee you don't have to pay. I love it, but if I don't sell it, I'll never be exclusively a fish taxidermist.
