Several people have told you already to go to www.braintan.com. They have their own forums over there I understand and someone knowledgeable on the process would love to help you. Brain tanning is just too labor intensive and, quite frankly, ineffective, for taxidermy purposes.

is for people who want to feel outdoorsy and act like pioneers or indians. It is not practical. Good results and brain tanning are seldom used in the same sentence. I ain't hating on people who think they are doing it like the indians but i thought you might want to know how it really is.

How much braintanning have you done? It is practical and some of the best leather there is for clothing. Jason, get some of the books and videos on braintan.com. There is a learning curve, and hands-on instruction is best, but videos are a good start.
