How Long can I leave McKenzie brush on tan on a deer cape?

can I leave the McKenzie TAN ON the deer hide for a couple of days
it says 5-6 hours. Just wondering if an extended period of time would have any effect on the hide.

you can leave it on the hide forever if you want to....

but theoretically it will have absorbed all it is going to take in by 5-6 hours and any excess oil can be done away with. But if you are going to mount it a little excess can't hurt right? That's what i figure.

Is this McKenzie stuff work well for tanning my deer skins with the hair on? It's basicially a big cape right? Would it still be soft? Sounds easy enough to use,

Step 1: Flesh
Step 2: Salt
Step 3: Pickle
Step 4: Neutralize
Step 5: Membrane
Step 6. Rinse
Step 7: Bruch on McKenzie Tanning
Step 8: Work? (aka Stretch as it dries)

Do I have it right?
