I have a wet tanned wolf and was wondering how many times this can frozen and thawed. When I received the wolf it had pretty much thawed out and then I just threw it in the freezer (should of taken the time to do the measurements at that time), then today I thawed it out again to take the measurements, but know I'm questioning my measurements after loking through the catalogs. Can I take it out thaw it again and the freeze again until the form arrives. I hate to spend a couple hundredd on a form that won't fit or to ruin a nice wolf hide. Thanks, Asher

The only thing you will run into when doing this is that the hide will get drier each time. The ears and lips may dry out and need to be rehydrated before mounting. Just be quick about it. It will not take long for that hide to thaw. Do not allow hide to reach room temp before measuring. Get er measured and back into the freezer. I have done this on many other wet tanned hides without any problems arising.
I appreciate the input.
