New to Tanning, Looking for help on cougar hide.

Hi, I am wondering if anyone out there can give me some pointers of tanning a large cougar hide. I've never tanned a hide before and want to do this right. I haven't done anything with the hide, it's in my freezer awaiting some expertise in the matter. I've read some info on tanning with an alum-salt solution, and also read that soaking the hide in borax before fleshing helps. This is a hair on hide, no paws, just elbow to elbow, and neck to tail. Any tips would be great. (Or should I let an old hand at the trade do this?)

Tip number one

Flesh it, salt it, SEND IT TO A TANNERY. If you've never tanned anything before, a cougar is one helluva way for trial and error. Practice on deer, but a cougar needs to be done professionally.

Don't Even Think About It!

A first time self-tan on a Mountain lion is not even an option. Sent it out to a pro tannery! It might cost you $150.00 mas o menos, but it will be the best money you ever spent, trust me.

Thanks

Okay, Thanks, I'll let a pro handle this one. Thought I could do it myself.
