The instructions say atleast 3 days, but If I am pressed for time can I leave them in the pickle longer? say about a week.

Shouldnt hurt anything just keep an eye on the PH and give them a stir a couple times a day. To be safe check the hides daily for any signs of slipage but the PH is the key.
I have had and still got Skins in my pickle's for years, that is a formic aid pickle.....
It's way safer than a freezer.
I like to leave the skins in the pickle as long as I can,
as long as your skins are throughly pickeled. and that may take weeks of stirring. you may leave them in for ever. i have some i've pickeled for 15 years. thin skin fox too. and they turn out ofthe tanning beautiful. you may email me if you you have any questions/comments
