What kind of pickle or pre tan should I use?

there are several acids, i use saftee acid. type it in and search there is a ton of info in the archives.

can be used, the one the suppliers sell are milder than what you can buy down town.

What about alum and salt solution? Will this work? and what amounts should I use?
