Question for Ozark Woods

I have a life size cat skin that has been krow tanned and froze for some time. I thawed it and found I need more stretch. (I re froze it). I now have some krow oil and plan to thaw it and apply the oil. I was told to let this penetrate for 2 hours. My question is, After oiled can I wait till the next day before mounting (refrigerating overnight) or would you recommend refreezing after the oil has penetrated for two hours. I guess what I need to know is it ok to let that oil work for 24 hours or should the skin be washed to remove the excess after 2 hours. Thaks for your help.

just oil as in the instructions, fold skin to skin place it in a zip lock bag in the refrigerator overnight. You should have only put a LIGHT coat of oil on the skin DO NOT PUT OIL ON THE FACE. You can use shampoo to wash the hair side in case you got any oil in the hair, this also will enhance any mount as it will make the hair softer and more full. on deer you get just incredible stretch adding oil after tanning with
krowtann
i used the krowoil
froze for three weeks
quick washed in Van Dykes hide relaxing compound
ive done about a few without the oil and fine a little more shrink
than i want to
ive been adding oil to all since and get almost no shrinkage this way

i played around with the hide compound last week
what i did was this
when finished mounting deer i put a pc of excess skin back in compound let it soak for two hours and took it out
it took five days before it started to dry
but get this it did not lose any hair
this krowtann really locks the hair in
