Question for Mr. T

Last night you answered a question from Brad about pickling in an auto tanner. You said three to four hours. My question is what is your recipe? How many pounds of salt and pickling crystals per hide and how much water? I have had my auto tanner for about one year and have had mixed results. I used to use Lutan F before the AT and had great results. I've tried EZ 100 with a couple of hides but would like to go back to Lutan F. Any help would be greatly appreiciated.

Thanks, Kelly

Kelly,
I would just mix it up like you would if you were going to pickle in a tub.

no secret

Pickle
3 gallons of water, 3 # of salt, and 9 oz. Citric acid.
For the Lutan F, the same as the directions suggest. It goes by the weight of the cape, and I go by the recipe chart that came with the Lutan.
It is not rocket surgery.
