I have just received a wolverine hide from Alaska. It is cased skinned and air dried (not salted). I would like to send this out to be tanned but I don't know of any tanneries that would accept just one hide. I also don't want this to be returned full of holes. Can anyone either reccomend a tannery that will do a good job with just one skin .. or .. reccomend a home kit that will be good for this? I've used Rittels EZ kit for coyotes and fox and it seemed to work well. I'm not sure if it's the best to use for this type of skin though. It won't be mounted, just a display, but I need it to be a good tan that will last and not start to fall apart after several years. Anny suggestions will be appreciated.

Most tanneries WILL accept just one hide. People that send capes around to find the best tannery to suit thier needs, will usually start with only one skin, and if the quality is what they want, then they will start to ship multiple skins at a time. I would recommend calling any tanneries that you are interested in, and ask them the same question that you posted above. I think you will find that the folks working there are very informative and helpful.
Couldnt ask for a better response.
Dont home-tan.
