I am going to be purchasing a flesher in the next day or two. I have been leaning heavily towards the eager beaver but can not get a hold of the company....for about 2 weeks now. I also considered a quebec pro. My main goal is to buy top of the line and only do it once but I want a machine that is quiet, easy to use and will last me a lifetime. Any suggestions? I read the posts in the archives and it seems like everyone has their personal preferences....why, what makes one better than the other? Thank you in advance for your time.

I am pretty sure Rittels sells the eager beaver.
I want to ask them some questions. The way I see it, if I am spending 2k than I would like to ask the manufacturer some questions to make sure I am making the right choice. I emailed bruce yesterday. I just want to make sure that nothing is happening within the company and that if I do get one I want to know I can get parts. They have been unavailable for weeks. Thanks though John.
I consider this machine an excellent investment! It's well machined, quiet, easy to change blades, and extremely adjustable! I call it an investmewnt of a lifetime! Every Tannery wants one! And the Shavers fight over which one gets to use them!
We offer 2 models - a stand alone model with its own base - or a Bench Model that you mount onto your table.
But - I have to ask you for some patience. Build time and delivery is 4-6 weeks. These are custom built and not an on the shelf item.
Please e-mail me for more info.
