I tried putting oil in my auto tanner, that will be the last time. Can I wash out the oil with a shampoo or somthing or will that wash too much of the tanning agents out of my skin. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

A good degreaser should do the trick here.
after you oil a skin and it has penitrated the skin TUMBLE IT in a tumbler with sawdust,this will soften the skin,clean the hair and remove any exess oil.
