would anyone have any information on different types of tanning through the ages, my daughter is doing a science fair project on tanning and we are not having a lot of success finding info on different types of tanning, thanks for your help

An argument here a few weeks ago about how far back in history, leather has been found. Seems like maybe an iceman was found with a leather pouch and leather shoes. Adam and Eve wore animal skins and we were trying to decide if they used Krowtann or not. I don't think that they did because the directions were to confusing. Leather has been found everywhere in history so you will have to go way back to see who invented it.
As far as kinds of tanning used, that is a big subject as many things were used long ago.
