Rittel's INSTRUCTIONS FOR USING ACID BATE (Catalog #AB-640)
Rittel's AB-640 is an enzyme that eats fat, thus producing a very soft, loose skin. This Bate works best at a low Ph, within the range of 1.0-3.5. It is a white powder, and is used in the Pickling solution. It does not promote hair or fur slippage. It dissolves and removes all excess gelatinous materials from the fibers, and is particularly recommended for use on Seals, Sheep, Bear, Boar, Beaver, and Raccoon skins. Any skin which contains large amounts of natural grease. It is ideal for producing soft head areas in furs.
Usage: Add 4-8 grams of AB-640 to every 1 Gl. Of Pickling solution. Or - 1 Oz. to every 4 Gallons of Pickle. Leave it in for the duration of the Pickling.
