Fur slippage

I have major slippage on my coyote I just tanned. What should I do about it? It is still soaked from the tanning process and will the fur stop falling so much if I leave it to dry for a while?
Thanks

You seem to be asking all the right questions, but you are doing things backwards. You are to learn the steps from start to finish before you try to tan a coyote. If you dont stop and get you're ducks in a row, you will just be throwing you're hides away. Sound like the songdog is now a shoulder mount.

I used a homemade alum tan.

Bacteriacide?

Did you de-grease the skin at any time, and you may want to use a bacteriacide in all of your solutions. Bacteria is one of the causes of hair slip.

No

I didn't degrease the skin at all. I live in B.C. Canada and don't really have any access to tanning supplies, so all my stuff is homemade. If the skin isn't too greasy, then does it still need to be degreased?
Thanks
