I am looking for opinions on buying a fleshing machine. I have found a Quebec Light and a Friendly flesher for the same price. (Both are used). Which one to get?

JJ, it all depends on how much or lack of experience you have on a fleshing machine. The Quebec would be perfect for you to learn on because of the slower rpm's,but if your going to do anything larger than whitetail you would want the faster rpm's.

Oh cripes, you were talking about taxidermy weren't ya?
You could speed up the Quebec light by going with a smaller pulley wheel if you wanted. It is slowed down for beginner use with the larger pulley on the motor. For the money I think the Quebec light would be hard to beat, and it's a full sized flesher.
