seems like everone uses stop rot on green hides and stop slip after the tanning process. i had for some reason ordered stop slip, instead of stop rot, will this be ok to use on green hides as they thaw or while skinning?

Stop slip is more like hair spray in a sence. Think of Stop slip to set hair that is starting to slip to prevent it from getting worse. STOP-ROT is more like... well you will just have to play with the STOP-ROT to see what it is like. Joe Osborn

I hope

I hope that Glen sells allot of Stop Rot to people that think they are buying Stop Slip. It seams guys are getting slip before the rot.
If they ever get it right and buy Stop Rot first, they may never have to buy the stop slip.

Poor guy needs some clear clarification.

Jim,

Stop Slip= a topical liquid you spray or sponge on hair AFTER the animal is mounted. Basically what it does is as jrosbor said, it acts as a hair spray. It makes loose hair stick to tight hair or bonds hairs together like hairspray.

Stop Rot= The stuff you apply to hair and hide sides of green capes that seems to act as a bacteria killer on steroids is the best way I can put it. Glen Conley can tell you more. I use it on most my capes behind the ears and on the facial features as I work a cape.

The two are NOT interchangable like Mounds and Almond Joy.
