I killed a rattle snake then i skined for my first time i then put it in some salt water for about 24 hours i then let it almost dry but found out that you have to pickle it for about 2-3 days then i bought rittles tanning kit. am i doing the right thing

I herd that your not supose to use salt on your snake skin is this true
