My question is how do you guys would apply Stop Rot to cased skinned bobcat pelt and a cased ringtail cat hide ? Should both of these hides still be frozen and starting to thaw when this is appplied or should the hides be completely thawed out ? Last how much of the Stop Rot should be applied ?

Thaw it

and give a good coating with a paint brush on the skin side and exposed epidermis, eyelids, lips, nose, and espacially the ears. I soak the ears really good.

STOP-ROT

Thaw them out. Turn the hides flesh side out. Then pour a small puddle in the center of them and rub it to the edges. Put some on the face too (eyes, nose, ears). Turn fur side out and roll into al ball and freeze it for about a week. That is all you need to do. But I have found you can play with STOP-ROT quite a bit before you find somthing it cannot do! the directions say to brush it on but I pour mine into a windex spray bottle and spray a good coating on. Also spray the ears and let them sit for 15 mins, they open right up.

so you re freeze the hide after applying the stop rot

John said 15 minutes to help open the ears
the main application takes a hour
ive found a couple of weeks in the freeze does a good job
but with the stop rot on for a hour
youve given yourself months possibly years to work with it
look on the site www.whitetailsys.com
good research reading on there

also look in the archives
a lot of good stuff in there also
good hunting Matthew
