If your tannery did a good job, as they should, the hide should go back to the size it was when it was alive.
why not Pressure tanning, is the best way to go, total controle is what you want. No one els to blaim.
He already has his hide tanned. And I don't know about all that "total control" stuff. You put it in a drum, add your cake mix, and turn the oven on. When it's done, you open the drum and remove it. Doesn't sound like too much control to me.
