First off if it is a customers cape inform them of the problem right away and see what they want to do. Don't know if you have already pickled or tanned, mounted ect. so it's kind of a tough call but don't pull on the hair,if it has been pickled/tanned you might try stop rot.. I have never used it myself but I have heard it works miracles. And if it's mounted up get it in front of a fan and let it dry. If it's still green I have used KrowTann 2000 on hides that were slipping pretty bad and they turned out fine but it's always a real gamble if their slipping so don't get your hopes up to high.
Hope this helps ya out.

Tye,if you can repair the slip areas go ahead. Then put a fan on the mount and let it dry ,don't groom or do anything til its dry-thats about all you can do for that cape.I have sprayed stop-slip on some problem capes but am not convinced it really helped, but the faster you get the hide dry the better off you'll be.
